Ďumbier — hiking from Horehronie

Ďumbier (2,046 m a.s.l.) is the highest peak of the Low Tatras and one of the finest hikes in NAPANT National Park. On a clear day the summit offers views of half of Slovakia — the High Tatras, the entire Low Tatras ridge, the Veporské Mountains and Banská Bystrica.

There are three recommended routes from the southern side: by gondola from Krupová, on foot from Srdiečko, or on foot from Trangoška via Štefánik Mountain Hut. Along the ridge you can also visit the unique Dead Bats Cave — the only high-altitude cave in Slovakia open to visitors.
