What you will see

The cave has a pit character — during the tour you will see three shafts roughly 20 m deep. Sinter formations include hanging curtains, sinter plates, stalactites and stalagmites. Among the most beautiful features are the Ringing Stalactites in the Catacombs, the Baldachin and the Blacksmith's Forge before Hell.

The cave is home to 13 bat species and is considered a site of European significance for bat populations. Since 1971 part of the cave has been used for speleotherapy — treatment of respiratory conditions using the cave's beneficial microclimate.
